Grande Prairie Storm The Grande Prairie Storm is a not for profit, community owned Junior A hockey organization. The Grande Prairie Storm is Grande Prairie's Junior A team.

The Storm has been a proud member of the AJHL since 1996. We are a not for profit, community owned organization. The Storm is home to the Junior Storm, the Peace Region's largest youth hockey development programming.

Limited spots remain! Storm the Puck 3 on 3 draft tournament. Join us a fun, fast paced tournament. Each player will receive a jersey to keep, swag, entry for player prize draws, and 4 games, with the top two teams in each division playing a gold medal game.

Today we thank Assistant Captain Chase Christensen for everything he brought to the Grande Prairie Storm organization over his AJHL career.

Chase suited up for 178 AJHL games with the Storm, earning the team’s Most Improved Player award in his rookie season, the Unsung Hero award in 2024-25, and the Best Two-Way Player award this past season.

A dependable leader on and off the ice, Chase led by example every day and made a lasting impact on our program, teammates, and community.

We’re proud to see Chase continue his hockey and academic career with the ACHA men’s hockey team at Niagara University next season.

Today we recognize assistant captain Will Harris for an incredible four seasons with the Grande Prairie Storm.

Will played 193 games in a Storm jersey, recording 124 points through his career. A hardworking and selfless leader, Will earned both the Community Involvement and Hustle Awards in 2024-25, along with the Unsung Hero Award in 2025-26.

Beyond the ice, Will completed hundreds of hours of community service and played a huge role in the team’s initiatives within local schools, making a lasting impact throughout Grande Prairie.

We look forward to watching Will suit up with the SAIT Trojans next season.
