Two Cowboys earning their place among the AFLโ€™s elite ๐Ÿ’ช

Izayah put together an incredible season in the Cowboys secondary, finishing with 7 knockdowns, 3 interceptions and a defensive touchdown, while shutting down his side of the field on a weekly basis.

Dominic was an absolute force in the middle of the defence, finishing 2nd in the entire AFL in total tackles, while adding 3 interceptions and 4 pass knockdowns, and leading the Cowboys defence week after week.

Another incredible accomplishment for #14!

After a record-breaking season that saw him become the AFLโ€™s All-Time Points Leader, our own ๐“๐ฒ๐ฅ๐ž๐ซ ๐…๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ž๐ค has officially been named the 2026 AFL Special Teams Player of the Year!

A league-wide honour and one that couldnโ€™t be more deserved. Ty has been a difference maker for the Cowboys for years, and 2026 was no different.

From rewriting the AFL record books to coming through every time his number was called, itโ€™s great to see all his hard work recognized.

Grovedale-born Carter Kettyle has scored his first career CFL touchdown.

On Saturday, August 8, the Edmonton Elks headed out east to play the Montreal Alouettes. Towards the end of the 4th quarter, Kettyle caught his first career reception, and minutes later caught his first career touchdown.

The day of the game also happened to be Kettyleโ€™s brothers wedding.

Pool hoops got a little more competitive than expected ๐Ÿ˜‚ followed by a ton of laughs, some memorable moments, a few drinks and watching the Sun's big win on the big screen.
