Another former 🐝 Southern Sting D man signs with the senior flames 🔥

The Saint John Flames are excited to announce the signing of Ty Smith for the 2026–2027 season! 🔥

Ty’s hockey journey started right here in the Saint John area, developing through the Lancaster Thunder AAA and KV Rangers Peewee AAA programs before representing Team New Brunswick in 2014–2015.

He continued his development with the Saint John Vito’s, where he earned the honour of being named team captain for the 2016–2017 season, leading the Vito’s to the national stage at the TELUS Cup!

His hard work and dedication earned him an opportunity to play major junior hockey with the Saint John Sea Dogs during the 2017–2018 season.

Ty later continued his hockey career with the
🐝Southern Sting 🐝 and most recently the River Valley Rock of the Southern New Brunswick Senior Hockey League, where he served as an assistant captain, bringing leadership and experience both on and off the ice.

Good luck 4 🏒
