Love these big typical bucks! Were hoping this buck did lots and lots of breeding at the ranch this past year!
He had 5 tines over 12 inches, two of which went over 15 inches. Main beams were 27 and 29 inches and with his smallest mass measurement being 5 2/8, he had over 40 inches of mass total! His final score ended up at 218 6/8.

Got that coyote killed buck back from Beej at Still Life Taxidermy! Love how similar his frame shape is to one of my free range deer minus the mass and extras. Its always fun to me when you get to pick out there new resting place. This guy's will be staring you down as you coming walking into the lodge! Thanks again Britt

Lots of good looking young bulls at the ranch this past year, and Gary's bull was no different, I admit I wish I would have taken better pictures for Gary's bull but he was more than happy with what I took and with his firdt 6 point bull.
His partner in crime, Mr Barry harvested a cow that we didnt get pictures with unfortunately.
Congrats again to this dynamic duo!

Time to jump a head to November for a minute, felt like it was time for a big whitetail.
Seems like every year theres at least one deer that would look better on your own wall instead of someone else's but unfortunately thats not how things work out here haha. This buck was absolutely one of those deer and I loved every minute I got to spend watching him.
That being said, if he had to go home with someone I'm glad it was our good buddy Leon!

That smile is what it's all about! The moment it all comes together. This is Micaiah's second father-daughter trip to the ranch with , and like her first trip a clean ethical harvest was the result, this time on her first elk!
The youth hunts at the ranch are some of the most memorable. I'm grateful for each one I get to be apart of! Congrats again young lady!

Been a while since posting any of last years hunts. Seems like life gets busy and social media takes a backseat at times but even still I enjoy sharing our hunts from the year.

Brian was next on the schedule for our 2025 season. And like much of our season, lots if firsts were checked off along the way. Brian's hunt was no different with this being his first rifle harvest as well as his first elk. He didn't even let his nerves get to him and made a perfectly placed shot. It was a short 40 yard track job.

While he was in camp our mutual bud BJ (who you might recognize as the first hunter if this year) came out for a visit and we were able to fill his bear tag the same weekend.

Next hunter up for the year was our good buddy Dale! Im almost ready to rename the high rise blind Dale's Roost with all but one of his animals coming from the same blind. This year we tried for a slightly bigger bull but it never did pan out, that being said Dale was more than happy with this stud bull.
