Sooooo as many know, the start of the year didn’t go as planned for racing…
After getting a few sessions in and some tuning on Fridays test day, I went out for another session in the afternoon, a couple laps into the session, I went into corner 1 and trying to downshift to setup for corner 2 I hit a false neutral, standing the bike up to recover in the grass.
Unfortunately that didn’t go as planned and I hit the deck pretty hard! Resulting in the bike sliding then flipping on to me, ending with a broken right collarbone and a broken left ankle.
Surgery on my ankle was needed and I am now on the road to recovery!
I feel very thankful to everyone who has already reached out and offered support and well wishes! Thank you to Shannonville Motorsport Park and their paramedic staff for a fast response time and taking such great care of me! To my good friend Bryce Billyard for coming to the hospital to chill with me while they worked on me and helping out since I’ve been on the mend! To everyone who stopped by and checked up on me thank you! Made this dude one happy camper!
To my mom Tabatha McLaughlin! I’m sorry for scaring you😅 but thank you for for being there the whole time! Love you lots!
The bike does look decent but some work to get it ready for the next event I can get out to!
