Game 4 vs. Ice Crushers Blue

Game 4 saw the Herd take on the Ice Crushers Blue in a hard-fought battle. The team generated plenty of opportunities and put lots of shots on net, but luck wasn’t on our side this time. Despite the effort, the Herd fell 5-0.

We couldn’t be prouder of how this team showed up all weekend. Every player competed hard, supported one another, and never quit.

🏅 Hardest Worker Coin went to Kellen. Kellen was outstanding between the pipes. He battled through traffic, made save after save, and never stopped competing. Despite some tough breaks, including a goalie interference call that went uncalled, he remained focused and gave his team a chance every shift. An incredible performance from our superstar netminder!

❤️ Heart & Hustle went to Jack! Jack had a strong game and did a great job keeping his head up while carrying the puck. He joined the rush, created offensive chances, and was confident with the puck on his stick. His effort and determination were noticeable throughout the game, and he made a positive impact every time he was on the ice.

🐂 Shutdown Bull went to our man, Mack! Mack is the kind of teammate every team needs. He looks out for those around him, works hard at both ends of the ice, and consistently gives 100%. His two-way game was on full display today, and he had an excellent performance.

⭐ MVP went to Jace! Jace was a defensive force all weekend long. He works hard every shift, plays responsibly in all areas of the ice, and leads by example. His consistency and determination earned him this well-deserved recognition.

Unfortunately, yesterday’s result brought our season to an end. While it didn’t end the way we hoped, these kids played some of their best hockey of the year this weekend. They showed up with positive attitudes, determination, and a commitment to one another.

We couldn’t be more proud of how much this group grew together throughout the season. Thank you to all of our players, parents, and supporters for an incredible year. The future is bright for this Herd 🦬💙

This morning the Herd faced off against the Lethbridge Rebels in a hard-fought battle from start to finish. Every player hit the ice with grit, determination, and a never-quit attitude. The calls may not have gone our way today, but the kids kept their heads up, stayed focused, and battled hard right until the final buzzer.

🏅 Hardest Worker Coin went to Henrik. He put on an incredible performance today. Shift after shift, he worked tirelessly to keep the puck out of our net, blocked multiple shots with his body, and generated some great scoring chances with several strong shots on net.

❤️ Heart & Hustle went to Cannonball Carter! Carter was an absolute force today. He hit the ice flying, competed hard for every puck, and wasn't afraid to battle in all areas of the rink. His energy helped drive the team from start to finish.

🐂 Shutdown Bull went to Jerry! Jerry was outstanding today. He skated hard every shift and battled well along the boards and in open ice. He also showed great awareness by dropping back to help defensively when needed, making smart plays and supporting his teammates all over the rink.

⭐ MVP went to Big Dog James! He’s small, but mighty! James never stopped battling. He chased down every puck, competed hard in every corner, and gave 120% every time he stepped onto the ice. His effort and determination were on full display all game long.

We couldn't be prouder of this group. The effort, resilience, and teamwork they showed today are exactly what being a Bison is all about. 🦬💙💛

Another incredible game for the Bisons! After falling behind 2-0 late in the second period, the boys showed their determination and never quit. They battled back hard, scoring three goals to earn a well-deserved 3-3 tie.

Hardest Worker Coin went to Carson. He was in the right position all game, made smart plays with the puck, and showed great awareness by hanging back when needed. His strong all-around effort earned him the Hardest Worker Coin.

Heart & Hustle was given to Walker. He worked hard from start to finish, stayed committed to his position, and never gave up on a play. His determination and effort were on full display all game long.

Shutdown Bull goes to our Our captain, Layne. He was a force defensively. He made key plays to shut down opponents, listened to coaching advice, and used it to dominate his position throughout the game.

MVP was awarded to Jacob Hood. He played an outstanding game, skating hard every shift and generating plenty of chances with multiple shots on net. He earned MVP honors by scoring the game-tying goal and helping secure the comeback tie for the Bisons.

Great resilience and teamwork from everyone today. The boys continue to show what it means to compete until the final whistle. 🦬💪🥅

🏒 Stampede Challenge - Game 1🏒

Hardest Working Coin – Hunter
Hunter came out flying from the opening puck drop. He skated hard, played with speed and determination, and was rewarded with two goals. A great example of effort leading to success!

Heart & Hustle – Jacob Newman
Jacob gave everything he had on every shift. He made smart plays, worked hard in all areas of the ice, and did an excellent job protecting the blue line when his defense partner jumped into the play. His effort and hockey IQ were on full display today.

Shutdown Bull – Jace
Jace was a force defensively. He blocked shots, carried the puck with confidence, generated chances with shots on net, and stepped up to make key plays when the game was on the line. A strong all-around performance.

MVP – Our Mini McDavid, Mason
Mason was electric all game long. He skated hard every shift, created scoring opportunities, and buried some incredible shots. His biggest moment came when he scored the goal that tied the game and gave the team the momentum they needed. A well-deserved MVP performance!

🐂 Great team effort from the Bisons today. The hard work, determination, and never-quit attitude were on display making a comeback to finish the game tied 3-3!

Our herd fell short in our bronze medal game.

Bison finish in 4th place in the Alberta Champions Cup tournament.

Although we didn’t get the W in the medal game, this weekend was very special to our team.

Last year our team came to this tournament and we left with 0 wins, and finished in last place.

This year we made it to semi finals & played in a medal game.

Tons of improvement with these kids & we are so incredibly proud of them.

Way to go, Bison! 🏒 🦬 💙 💛
