Does size matter in Jiu-Jitsu?

Yes... and no.

Size, strength, and athleticism are real advantages. But technique can close the gap and often overcome it.
That's what makes Jiu-Jitsu unique. A smaller, skilled grappler can control, escape, and submit a larger opponent by using leverage, timing, and proper mechanics.
The goal isn't to pretend size doesn't matter—it's to develop the skills to make it matter less.
