Less than a month until the annual Howard Smith Memorial team roping fundraiser! Hoping to see lots of people come out to support a great cause! And if you need to get practised up we are roping down at the valley Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 6:30pm!

Planning for the 2026 roping is underway!

Happy friday everyone! Cattle have been moved down to the arena and we are looking forward to another great season of roping and riding down at the valley.

The annual meeting was held last sunday and membership fees were set to remain the same as last season by the attending members as follows:
Drop ins: $50.00/person.
Single adult membership: $400.00.
Additional family members: $200.00/person.
Youth (aged 10-15) membership: $250.00.
(Youth membership is designed for kids whose parents are not members)
Children 10 and under can participate free of charge.
All youth under the age of 18 must be accompanied by and adult or legal guardian.

Roping dates will remain the same. Tuesday, Friday and Sunday at 6:30pm, we will start with heelomatic work followed by live cattle.

The steers are in the process of being broke in and we have a nice pen of mostly fresh cattle for the season!

Rope night tonight Sunday Aug 11th at 6:30pm! As of July drop ins have increased to $30 a horse. Membership costs will remain the same for this year!

Please bring cash for drops ins, fees are to be paid in person at practices!
