Sentinels Cricket Team has officially announced its arrival this season – and how! After a tough season opener against Belleville Cricket Club, where we were handed a humbling defeat, today was about redemption, resilience, and rewriting the narrative. 💥

Going up against the most dangerous team in the tournament — a side known to blow away opponents like they don’t even exist — Sentinels walked in as underdogs... but walked out as GIANT SLAYERS! 🔥

🎯 Our bowling unit was on absolute fire today:

Arjun Sharma unleashed a fiery spell, tearing through their top order like a man on a mission.

Syed Mohiuddin Ahmed and Sharjil Khan kept the pressure burning in the middle overs, grabbing crucial wickets with aggression and accuracy.

And finally, Jwel Hossain sealed the deal with a lethal blow, wrapping up Belleville’s innings for just 119 in 18.5 overs!

The chase began with belief and aggression, thanks to a blazing 65-run opening partnership between Shahnawaz Shaikh and Uzair Shaikh. 💪
But cricket loves drama – a sudden middle-order collapse brought flashbacks of Game 1. 😰

Enter the warriors: Mohd Hasan and Obaid Mansuri.
With nerves of steel and hearts full of courage, they absorbed the pressure, handled the heat (and a few words from the field 👀), and steadied the ship. Their partnership anchored our innings beautifully until both fell in the same over — but not before dragging us close to the finish line.

With calmness and composure, Syed Mohiuddin then saw us through and completed the historic chase. 👑

Sentinels Cricket – A Battle of Grit

Tough pitch and testing weather made today’s match a real challenge. Though we fell short defending 82 in 30 overs, we fought hard – taking 8 wickets and making the opposition work till the end.

Abdul Rehman led the bowling attack with fire, and Arjun Sharma held the innings together when the rest of the batting collapsed. A true team effort full of heart, hustle, and pride.

Huge shoutout to Uzair and Abdul for their outstanding performances in our first warm-up game against Rising Stars! Both players stepped up with solid half-centuries, setting the tone early and anchoring the innings with great intent and composure.

The spirit they showed on the field was incredible — confident strokes, smart running, and a real hunger to get the team off to a strong start this pre-season. Their partnership brought energy not just to the scoreboard, but to the whole squad.

Big props to the entire team as well — everyone was out there, backing each other, shaking off the off-season rust, and showing great enthusiasm. This warm-up was all about building momentum, and thanks to efforts like Uzair’s and Abdul’s, we’re off to a promising start!
