What can be said about the Dame Motorsports Crew's weekend performance? It was indeed an impressive outing for the team. The Bomber Car, an ongoing project, garnered valuable racing experience, additional seat time, and identified areas for improvement. Despite its potential, the car encountered issues that will be addressed moving forward.
Friday evening saw Nolan Perry excel in the Hornet A car, securing first place in Hot Laps, Qualifying, and Heat Race, and second place in the Main Event. His exceptional performance was marred only by unwarranted contact that relegated him to second place on two restarts.
I Jumped back in Saturday evening and despite the Hornet A car experiencing issues with its toe due to the previous night's contact, resulting in a significant loss of speed, the team managed to qualify sixth, finish sixth in the Heat Race, and secure third place in the Main Event. The weekend yielded two trophies from two races.
The team will now regroup, relax, and prepare for upcoming events, including participation in the Courtenay Canada Day Parade with the Hornet A car.
The team's success is largely attributed to the unwavering support of its esteemed sponsors, comprising local business owners who champion local racing. These sponsors include Forbidden Games and Collectibles Speedy Glass Courtenay, BC.,
JB Radiators, OK Tire Budget Brake & Muffler Auto Centres Supreme Visual Signs, Bumper to Bumper, Island Hoist and Supply, Fisher-Smith & Associates Royal LePage in the Comox Valley, T-Mar Industries, and Sheldon Hopp Mechanical.
