Historical Fencing - Intro (12+ Years)
Perfect for newcomers, this class focuses on foundational techniques in a safe, controlled environment with low intensity. Students will get hands-on experience with singlestick, longsword, messer and rapier, a dagger and more. Some padded sparring with helmets and gloves are available to use.

Historical Fencing - Core
Build upon your fundamentals with higher-intensity warm-ups and sparring. Students will progress from padded to stick, synthetic and eventually steel weapons at a personalized pace. Core students gain access to an additional coached sparring session during the week and our Discord community where we organize tournaments and discuss all things swordplay. We made it into the Grand Forks Newspaper! 🙂

I (Chad Herbert) travelled up to participate in the Longsword tournament in Grand Forks and came back with a Gold metal!😁

Much fun, very hot wearing heavy padded armour for 6 hours, but got to fight 12 matches, and meet new fighters from Vernon, Kelowna, Grand Forks, Abbottsford, Calgary, and Spokane!

Congrats to Collin Bishop (Silver), Eugene Kim (Bronze), and Craig Meyer (4th)...

Thanks to all the fighters for their good sportsmanship, and to Tony Huang and his crew for hosting their first Event in Grand Forks - I hope to send some students their way next year! :)
