Exciting news for regional aviation in British Columbia. Today, Harbour Air and Pacific Coastal Airlines (PCA), two homegrown airlines, announced that they have entered into an agreement under which Harbour Air will acquire PCA and form a new regional airline group, keeping both airlines under Canadian ownership.
 
This group will combine Harbour Air’s seaplane network and PCA’s complementary wheeled flight network to unlock more destinations for its guests with service to 25 communities, expanding valuable air service across British Columbia.  

The transaction is subject to regulatory approval. In the interim, Harbour Air and Pacific Coastal Airlines will continue to operate as two separate and independent airlines.

We’ve heard your concerns. Everyone deserves the same opportunity to secure a day-use pass, no matter how fast you are with a computer. That is why we are so pleased to be launching an updated day-use pass reservation system to strengthen security and improve distribution of the passes, ensuring everyone has a transparent and consistent process for accessing some of B.C.’s most popular parks.

Starting September 22, people will need to create a verified account before booking a day-use pass. This updated system helps ensure passes are reserved by real people and distributed more fairly during periods of high demand. Accounts also make it easier for people to view, manage, and cancel their reservations.

People are encouraged to create their BC Parks account using their BC Services Card account for streamlined access to a variety of B.C. government services. Alternatively, people can create a BC Parks account using their email and password.

1. Paradise Meadows Loop 4.2km, easy, wildflower meadow, all ages
2. Lake Helen Mackenzie 8.5km, moderate, alpine lake, swimmable in summer
3. Battleship Lake 10km moderate, alpine lake chain, accessed from Paradise Meadows trailhead
4. Mount Albert Edward 32km, strenuous, epic 360 degree summit
5. Elk Falls 2km, easy, suspension bridge and waterfall (45~min from mountain)

All accessed from Mount Washington or within easy reach. Stay slopeside and the trails start right at your door.

Good news for every mountain biker on Vancouver Island!

The Mount Washington Bike Park is open EVERY WEEKEND through September -- trails for all levels, food and drinks on the mountain, and slopeside accommodation so you never have to rush home.

Season passholders! The ZipTour Eagles Flight and Hawk Flight Half Tour are also 2-for-1 all season. Do not miss it.

There's only one place to be this Full Moon!

The Sturgeon Full Moon is rising over Mount Washington on August 28 and we're opening the Eagle Chairlift into the evening so you can watch it happen from the top of the mountain.

Here's the plan:
🍺 5:00 PM — Complimentary cider samples on the patio from Raven's Moon Craft Cider & Blue Moon Farm
🎟️ 6:30 PM — Ticket pick-up and wristbands at the main lodge
🚡 7:00 PM — Chairlift ride to the top
🌕 Just after 8:00 PM — Moonrise from the alpine

Lantern-lit pathways, cool mountain air, and one of the most spectacular views on Vancouver Island — all under the glow of the full moon.

Tickets: Adult $20 | Youth/Child/Senior $15
