After a little bit of patience and lots of hard work to figure out how to best prepare ourselves for a tennis season this year, we are happy to announce our schedule for private and semi-private lessons for this summer.

After having to cancel children’s group lessons and adult league play due to COVID-19, we are proud to announce that we are able to hold these lessons for the youth in the town on a first-come, first-serve basis.

As athletes and those who love sport - we come together and unite when it comes to spectatorship, playing minor sports together and everything in between. This past week in the world we have seen what we have been blind to for so long, and it seems the world is finally trying its best to do something about it.

Life, like sport, is all about unity. We must come together, show love for each and every person no matter their skin colour, the language they speak, or where they are from. We are all humans, it is time we all take a stand and educate ourselves on the things that are really happening in the world and stop being blind to it all. With this knowledge we can defeat the powers who are racist, cruel, and utterly brutal to those who do not deserve it.

Love is so important and it’s integral we start understanding this, no matter what.

Congratulations to two of our program’s athletes on being nominated at tonight’s CBS athletics awards banquet. Molly Gill for junior female athlete of the year and Steven Rideout for coach of the year!

This spring we are happy to announce we will be launching a new program to aid us in our selection for the 2020 Team Avalon Tennis Team for the NL Summer Games in Bay Roberts, open to children who will be 11-18 years of age by the date of ‪August 1st, 2020‬.

We have booked the Queen Elizabeth Regional High School gym for different days this spring. This will include 8 hours of training, coaching instruction and gym time to gear up for this special time of year. The cost will be $55 per player and will be open to the FIRST 10 children who register.
