We had the honor to join in on a special event to support the cause of Family Violence Awareness and Prevention. 🙏
A few real stories were shared by victims and the people who were abusive towards their family. It was so beautiful to witness these brave stories. Alot of times we can be both the abuser and the victim. It is not our place the blame and judge. We all need to do our part in shining a light on this so we can learn how to develop healthy pro-active reactions and choices and where we can reach for support when things just become to much. Abuse can happen to anyone, man, woman, child. We need to be a safe place for both the victim and abuser. Not to say we do not say no and there will not be consequences for acts of abuse, but in no way will there be change if we cannot open our hearts to the root of abusive behaviors, as well as give space to this so we as an individual, community and society and truly be there to support one another in times of not only joyful moments but also the hard ones.

The more we turn away the more we hurt and deny ourselves, our neighbour's, community, and society a real chance at safety, support, connection, to be heard and understood. We want safety, we want our children and families to be healthy humans and live in loving homes. We must all do our part at making this possible.

Sometimes life goes in directions that are very unforseen. Our paths may become unclear and confused, and hardships seem to become a series of events. Walking this path, like fall, when all the leaves turn colors and fall to the ground, the air turns crisp and cold. Plants die, and certain animals and insects start to forage for hibernation. What do these things all have in common. In the cycles of life. From fall, winter, spring, and summer. Conception, death, and birth. One thing we know is to keep moving forward. The beauty of fall when nature falls apart is that it sets the foundation for rest and regrowth. When we get trapped in the old, there will never be new. And what kind of world would we live in without seasons. 💫
