Hi Everyone! Holy moly it's the end of April already!!! The NAG is only 4 months away. That's 4 ToKU sessions or 16 hours of practice! We gotta move move move!

This month's session will be on the 26th of April at Hatsuun Jindo Martial Arts. We start at 10 am and go until 3pm as usual. We are continuing on Kamae waza. There is no gi required. The cost is $30 dollars as per usual.

I'm looking forward to seeing you all.

March’s session of ToKU will be meeting on March 29th at Hatsuun Jindo MA starting at 10 am until 3 pm. We will be focusing on Kamae waza F.G. and the associated practices. The cost is $30. Hope to see you there.

Hi Folks:

This month's ToKU will be on the 22nd of February. It will start at 10 am and will go until 3 pm as per usual. It will be at Hatsuun Jindo at 4675 Bethesda Road, Bowmanville, Ontario. L1C 0Z2 and the cost is $30 dollars. We will be continuing Keri waza and should be able to finish it this month. A gi is optional this month.

This past weekend the ToKU met for the first time in 2026. Due to a snowstorm, we only had three brave souls show up to continue our study of keri waza. We had a better turnout in the month of December of which I have included pictures from that session as well. We will be meeting again on February 22 for the next installment. I would like to thank Vicki, Glen and Brian for coming out. With luck, the Canadian weather will be favourable for next month.

We will be having our first study session of 2026 on Sunday, 25 January. The session will start at 10 AM and we’ll go till 3 PM. It is at Hatsuun Jindo Martial Arts. Th cost is $30. We will be continuing our study of the two person keri waza flow drill.

The ToKU started our fall sessions this past Sunday and our prep for the return of the NAG!! We reviewed Tsuki waza FG and Heishu waza FG. We had a new member as well. Welcome Kevin Forbert join us from Tweed for his first session. He attended a couple of your seminars at UofT Sensei. When Helen and Brian were leaders of the ToKU. Our studies and NAG prep will continue in October. Thank you everyone for attending. Thank you Sensei for your continued support.

Hello Everyone;

We are back on schedule after Augusts Seminar down in New Jersey. It was great to have Brain and Vicki down representing the ToKU group. We saw some exciting stuff from Kyoshi Paul. He went through a new sequence that covered gi chokes and strangulations on the ground and standing. Very good stuff! We are lucky to have a person that skilled in AKJJ within KU.

Summer holidays are over, and the fall will be upon us soon. We are going to stick with the last Sunday of the month for September and October. In November we are looking to move the sessions to mid-month as per normal to avoid the Xmas holidays. This month's date is September 28th at 10:00 am start. We will go until 3 pm with at least a 45-minute break. The cost will be $25 for the day. It will be at Hatsuun Jindo Martial Arts

There is going to be a shift in the training focus. I have decided to change this month's focus from Kensentsu waza to Volume 1, 2 and 9 until the NAG next year. The training will be focusing on the drill's templates but, also we will be breaking them down and looking at the application based practices.

I hope to see you all on the 28th.
