Looking for something to keep your kids occupied? Why not book a week of swimming lessons!

In our 5th summer of operation, we will be offering week long sessions of swimming lessons (30 minute lesson every day, Monday to Friday) for all ages in our heated and fully insured pool. Our swim school is also an affiliate partner of the Lifesaving society, so all swimmers will receive an official report card at the end of the week and a badge should they pass a level!

We primarily teach preschool and swimmer levels, however for Rookie/Ranger/Star patrol inquiries please send an email to [email protected] for more information!

Our availability for the next two weeks are as follows:

June 30th-July 4th
- With Sarah: 8:00 am, 8:35 am, 11:05 am, 11:40 am, 12:10 pm
- With Avery: 1:00pm, 1:35pm, 2:10pm, 4:30 pm

July 7th- 11th
- With Avery: 3:20pm, 3:55pm

We have a third certified instructor (+ lifeguard) this summer, Oliver, that will occasionally be filling in for lessons. Oliver will also be offering mobile lessons as an extension of our swim school. For inquiries into week/time slot availability, please send us an email!

Happy Monday swimming families!!

We are excited to announce that the Ganaraska Swim School is now accepting registrations for our 5th summer of swimming lessons!
With two certified instructors on staff for the summer, we will have more availability for lessons this year than in past years.
We anticipate that spots will fill quickly, so please contact us at your earliest convenience via email or through facebook messenger if you are interested in reserving a lesson time for your child.

Lessons will be scheduled in the same format as previous summers. They will be offered in 5 day, week long sessions (Monday-Friday at the same time every day) with report cards handed out on Friday following the last lesson.

*Semi private lessons will only be available for swimmers who are registered in the same level or one level of difference in order to maximize swimmer success.

* A 50% deposit will be required at the time of booking to reserve your swimmer’s spot. The balance will be due by the first lesson. In the event of a cancellation we must receive notice two weeks prior to the first lesson in order to refund the deposit.

* Swimming lessons are outdoors, and will be held rain or shine. In the event of unsafe swimming weather, we will try our best to reschedule the lesson to another time during the same week if possible, however this option is not guaranteed.

It’s that time of year again! I am pleased to announce that this summer, both Avery and I will both be offering swimming lessons from our home pool. We are in the process of organizing our lesson schedules and will be accepting registrations shortly. Be sure to keep an eye out for a follow up message in the coming days with more information! Good afternoon swimming families!

I’m sorry for such a late post about swimming lessons this summer! Going forwards, there will be some changes and we’ve been in the works of figuring out logistics and getting everything organized for this summer! That being said, I will be taking a step back from teaching swimming lessons full time this summer as I am currently working part time in Guelph while I prepare to write my MCAT in August. In turn, my sister Avery will be taking the lead! She is a fully certified Lifeguard and Swimming Instructor, and may be a familiar face to some as assisted with a few of my lessons last summer. She is currently assistant teaching with the municipality of Port Hope and was a program assistant for the Orono Figure Skating Clubs canskate program for many years! I will also likely be helping out with some lessons for the first few weeks just to make the transition smoother. Keeps an eye out for a post from her shortly with regards to booking lessons for the summer!

I’m going through my schedule and have realized that I still have spots available to book in July. Possible times listed below:

June 26th-30th (next week)
Two spots between 9am and 10:45am

July 17th-21st
Two spots between 8:00-9:45 am

July 24th-28th
One spot at 8 am, one spot between 11:45-12:45 (spot no longer available)

I am also now beginning to advertise lesson spots for August, and will continue booking for the weeks August 7th, and 21st.

Hi everyone!

I am thrilled to announce that summer I will once again be offering swimming lessons from my pool beginning the week of July 1st. As per usual, lessons during July and august will be offered in one-week sessions (a total of five 30-45 minute lessons, mon-fri) and can be booked in private or semi private lessons (semi private lessons are available for swimmers who are in the similar levels- typically one level of difference).

This summer, lessons will be taught following Lifesaving Societies new program, Swim for Life! For more details on Red Cross level conversions please see the chart I’ve attached or contact me directly. All Swim for life Parent & Tot and Preschool levels as well as Swimmer level 1/2 will be offered as 30 minute lessons to suit the attention spans of younger swimmers. Swimmer 3 and above will be offered as 45 minute lessons to ensure that all required skills are introduced with enough practice time as possible.

Session prices will as followed:

30 min lessons taught from my pool: $130 for one child + $30 for each additional swimmer (max of 4 swimmers per lesson)

45 min lessons taught from my pool: $160 for one child + $30 for each additional swimmer (max of 3 swimmers per lesson)

This spot is a weeklong spot meaning that lessons would happen Monday- Friday at the same time every day with report cards handed out on the last day.

Hello swimming families!

I'm excited to announce that I am now accepting registrations for summer swimming lessons. I anticipate that spots will fill quickly, so please contact me at your earliest convenience via email or through facebook messenger if you are interested in reserving a lesson time for your child.

All Red Cross Preschool and Swim Kids levels 1-4 will be offered as 30 minute lessons to suit the attention spans of younger swimmers. Swim Kids levels 5-10 will be offered as 45 minute lessons to ensure that all required skills are introduced with enough practice time as possible. Bookings will be available from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Lesson Prices:
30 min lessons taught from my pool: $130 for one child + $30 for each additional swimmer
45 min lessons taught from my pool: $160 for one child + $30 for each additional swimmer
30 min lessons taught elsewhere (home pool etc.): $160 for one child + $30 for each additional swimmer
45 min lessons taught elsewhere (home pool etc.): $190 for one child + $30 for each additional swimmer
Semi private lessons will only be available for swimmers who are registered in the same level or one level of difference in order to maximize swimmer success.

Due to the changes to Covid-19 restrictions, I will now be able to work in the water with your swimmers which means that I no longer have to require parents to be in the water for preschool and Swim Kids levels. All infant lessons (starfish, duck and sea turtle) must be parented to abide by the Red Cross guidelines for swimmer success.
