What a season it’s been for our U11 Sabres 🧡

From the very first puck drop to the final banner game, these boys showed what it truly means to battle. They left everything on the ice, game after game, pushing through challenges with strength, determination, and heart. While we came up just short in the end, there is so much to be proud of.

This season was filled with big wins, incredible growth, and moments we’ll never forget. More than that, it was about the friendships built, the bonds formed, and the memories that will last far beyond the rink.

To the amazing coaches: Thank you for your dedication, guidance, and countless hours spent helping these kids grow not only as players but as individuals.

To the team manager and all the parents: Your time, effort, and support never go unnoticed — it truly takes a village.

And to the boys: You gave it your all, every single shift. You played with heart, you supported one another, and you showed what being part of a team is all about.

Hold your heads high, Sabres. This was a season to remember 🏒🧡

Aaaand that’s a wrap, U7 Sabres! 🏒🔥

Our U7’s have officially closed out their season with a hard-fought game against Grovedale on Saturday morning! What a way to finish!

“Proud” doesn’t even begin to cover it. From our first-year cubs showing incredible growth, to our seasoned players leading the way—this team brought hard work, excitement, passion, and smiles all season long. 🧡

To our players, parents, families, and everyone who cheered us on—THANK YOU for being part of an unforgettable season. We couldn’t have done it without you! 🫶🏼🧡

Dakota has poured countless hours, energy, and passion into our teams, going above and beyond to make sure every season is a success.
On top of being a Sabres Hockey Mom (x2!!), Dakota is always thinking about our players and their families.

Our U11 boys proudly wore their “Tumbler Ridge Strong” stickers, in this weekend’s TR tournament, in honor of the recent tragedies that have deeply impacted this community.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the families, and especially the kiddos who are still fighting in hospital. Words can’t truly express how much Tumbler Ridge has been in our hearts.

We wanted to share our love and also give a very special shout-out to Phoebee Smithdorf at Oils & Crafts for the generous donation of these beautiful stickers, made with so much love for our boys to wear.

A big thank you as well to Darren Stoudt from NXL Technologies for also donating stickers for our families to bring with us. Your support means so much to our team and community.

Last weekend, for the first time, our U9’s played a full game with three 20-minute periods and no buzzer! 👏🏼
The players had to learn on the fly how to manage line changes during play and line up for faceoffs at every whistle—and they handled it like pros. The kids did an amazing job adapting and working together.

To wrap up the game, everyone got a chance to take part in a fun shootout, with each player taking a shot on the goalies.

A great day of learning, teamwork, and hockey!

Introducing our newest addition to the board, treasurer SYDNI VAN DONGEN!

Sydni has graciously stepped into this important role for the remainder of the season and will continue next year (and hopefully years to come), taking on the responsibility of keeping our finances organized, transparent, and running smoothly. From managing budgets to overseeing payments, she ensures our teams and programs have the support they need to succeed.

Taking on a board position is no small task, and we are incredibly grateful for Sydni’s willingness to step up and help guide our association forward.
