Hey! I am Andrew McCombeđ Let me introduce myself a little more.
I grew up in London, ON playing for the London Jr. Knights. I spent hours playing on my backyard rink everyday making consistent skate sharpening a staple in my hockey routine. As a teenager through my young adulthood I had the chance to work at Source for Sports in London and spent years behind a Blademaster machine perfecting the skate sharpen.
I played for Strathroy Rockets throughout junior hockey and eventually found my way playing college hockey in the US. Multiple hours on the ice and many great and terrible sharpening experiences. Fast forward almost a decade and my wife and I settled down in Chatham. We are thrilled to be watching our sons experience this incredible game and be a part of the program. Itâs a lot more than just a game to us. The lessons, the grit, the relationships make this game such a powerful one.
For the past year, I began offering my skate sharpening to my sonsâ teams, but am excited to open it up to serve more of Chatham.
We frequent the rinks often around here, if you see me I would love to meet you. The hockey community is a special one.
