The last Barnstormers game I attended of the season, it started to rain, but it wasnโ€™t like a full rain almost like a mist. And I thought wow know what would be cool, taking a quick video little did I know Iโ€™d catch a grand slam on that quick video.

๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐€๐ญ๐ค๐ข๐ง๐ฌ๐จ๐ง ๐‚๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐ˆ๐ง๐ฏ๐จ๐ฅ๐ฏ๐ž๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐€๐ฐ๐š๐ซ๐: Named in honour of Barnstormers Team Ambassador, former Montreal Expos pitcher, lifelong Chatham resident and longtime minor baseball coach Bill Atkinson, this new annual award recognizes Barnstormers who go above and beyond to make a difference in our community.

And our inaugural recipients certainly went above and beyond. From supporting local charities and community events to dressing up as hot dogs at a BBQ and even letting snakes crawl all over them at the animal shelter, they were always willing to show up, pitch in and put a few smiles on faces along the way!

Spotlight: ๐Ÿคธ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ Weโ€™re proud to spotlight Great Lakes Gymnastics, a local gymnastics club dedicated to providing opportunities for athletes of all ages and skill levels.

Great Lakes Gymnastics provides a welcoming environment where athletes can develop their skills, build confidence and challenge themselves at their own pace. Through gymnastics, participants have the opportunity to develop strength, coordination, discipline and determination while enjoying the sport and being part of a team.

Their impact goes beyond the gym, helping people of all ages discover new abilities, set goals and celebrate their progress along the way. By creating opportunities for athletes to learn, grow and stay active, Great Lakes Gymnastics continues to be a valuable part of the Chatham-Kent community.

One last bubble tea for the road! ๐Ÿง‹โšพ๏ธ

The guys from the Barnstormers stopped by for one last visit before heading home for the season. It was a real pleasure getting to know them and watching them play this year. Iโ€™m very grateful Forever Steeped got to be a small part of their time here in Chatham.

Wishing Haru, Ryoya, Yuri, Yushin, and Mizuki safe travels and all the very best wherever baseball takes you next! Thanks for the memories, guys. Youโ€™ll always be welcome back for a bubble tea or matcha!๐Ÿง‹โšพ๏ธ

Thank You Barn Nation! From the first game to the final (rained) out, 22,792 of you made Fergie Jenkins Field the place to be this summer.

Between hosting the first CBL All-Star Weekend, incredible walk-off grand slams, and impromptu karaoke performances, 2026 was one for the history books. One full memory card with countless memories!

On behalf of the entire Barnstormers organization, we deeply appreciate each and every one of you. We will see you in 2027 to Play Ball! ๐Ÿซถ

A fundraising walk for Type 1 diabetes is coming to Chatham. The Breakthrough T1D Walk will take place on Saturday, June 21 at Kingston Park. Breakthrough T1D Walk is the largest fundraising event in Canada, and around the world, that brings together the type 1 diabetes (T1D) community to help move our mission forward and get us closer to cures.
