It's shaping up to be an excellent summer and it's time to start making plans to come to our annual Northern Exposure event on August 15th! Held at our beautiful covered outdoor arena we'll be hosting two scrimmage games at an intermediate/advanced and a "beginnerish" level. You can expect more information shortly on the game day schedule and theme, but if you're ready to sign up now we are taking names!

Our season opening game was a success! Thank you to the Hell's Belles for joining us in such a fun (and close!) game! As always we owe it all to our refs, NSOs, and other volunteers for helping us have an awesome time, we thank you and know that there would be no derby without all of your hard work. There's nothing better than getting together on derby day and seeing all of the skaters smiling, bonding, and having a blast 💙🤍

NRD will be back on the track at our June 20th game in Guelph!

Nipissing Roller Derby would like to give a huge thank you to all of those who volunteered at our home opener on Saturday.

A reminder for all of us: referees and officials are people first. They show up, put in the time, make difficult decisions in real time, and help make our games possible.

Passion and competition are part of the sport, but kindness and respect should always come first. Disagreements will happen, mistakes will happen — that’s part of being human. A little patience, understanding, and respect can make a huge difference. Mistreatment of volunteers will not be tolerated in any form.

Sports are better when respect is part of the game. ❤️
