I had the opportunity to work on this really cool project with Neil from Alpine Threadworks. Neil not only makes all the incredible packs and gear, but also puts it to the ultimate test out in the mountains on his skis, splitboard, and mountain bike. We wanted to showcase this in a banner video for the Alpine Threadworks site and I’m super stoked on how it came together.

Very excited to share this first episode of "Pushing Conversation" with you.

Pushing Conversation is an interview series with folks in the skateboarding world. Each interview is done while skateboarding, and touches on the topic of mental health in a way that is unique to the person interviewed. Our hope is that this series will help to push the conversation around mental health forward and help to make the topic of mental health more approachable.

Episode 01 features John Rattray. John is a former professional skateboarder who has graced the cover of Thrasher Magazine, has had many notable video parts in films including Blueprint's "Waiting For The World" and "Dying To Live" with Zero Skateboards, and has more recently been doing work in the mental health space with his initiative called Why So Sad?

Starting a new project with . It was great to see Neil at work in his shop creating these high quality packs and bags for ski touring, splitboarding, mountain biking and more.

is an ACMG certified guide and one of the most knowledgeable people I know when it comes to the backcountry, so it’s especially cool to know he makes this gear and tests it in all the toughest environments to ensure it’s of the highest standard.

We’ll be filming more over the next few months to capture Neil (and the gear) in action so watch for more behind-the -scenes photos/videos.

My childhood friend Andrew started during the pandemic and has been working tirelessly to develop and grow his business these past few years.
