Greenhouse season… apparently.
Yeah… makes total sense. ❄️🌱

Out here trying to build something that grows…
while winter’s still throwing punches.

But that’s life, isn’t it?

You don’t wait for perfect conditions.

I’m doing it in style.

Rocking this skunk mullet / beaver fur hat—
keeping the head warm while the rest of me questions my life choices 😂

But here’s the thing—

When you look in the mirror… what do you see?

The first time I looked at mine after the grizzly attack,
I didn’t recognize the man staring back at me.

I saw scars.

Stitches.

A face that had been torn apart.
And behind those eyes…

Fear.

Not fear of the bear.

Fear that the man I once was…
was gone.

I stood there staring at that reflection wondering
if life had just written the end of my story.

But the longer I looked…
the more I realized something.

That man in the mirror wasn’t finished.

He was still breathing.

Still fighting.

Still here.

The bear didn’t take my life.

It revealed who I really was.

A fighter.
A survivor.
A man who refused to stay down.

Now when I look in the mirror,

I don’t see the attack.

I see the fight that made me.

So I’ll ask you the same question…

When you look in the mirror… what do you see?

Because the reflection staring back at you
might just be stronger than you think.

I was just looking for a tattoo design.

Nothing serious.
Just ideas.

A starting point.
Then this sketch showed up.

A bear.
Scarred.
Calm.

Headphones on.
It wasn’t finished —
but somehow it already understood the story.

At the time, I didn’t know why it stayed with me.
I just knew I needed to sit with it.

A new year staring back at you.

The view is beautiful—
but it’s intimidating as hell.

Because once you step onto that trail, there’s no map for what’s coming.

You don’t see the valleys waiting to swallow you whole.
You don’t see the climbs that will leave your lungs on fire.
You don’t see the moments where quitting feels smarter than continuing.

All you see…
is the first step.

That’s how life works.
The trail will drop. Hard.

You’ll hit bottom and think you’ve failed.
But ask yourself this—
did you really fall backward?

Or did you move forward through something painful?

Progress doesn’t always look like progress.
