After a recent tour through croquet clubs in the southern USA, we had many discussions about Canada/USA relations. A good part focused on the tariffs that have been placed on the products entering America from many countries. The current situation is that Canadian-made goods, like our Oakley Woods Croquet mallets continue to go our our American customers duty & tariff free. For more on this subject, I've created a blog that is posted on our website. We've also placed a maple leaf logo on our products that are made in Canada.
How does this affect me? For at least 40 years, the USA has had a duty of 4.9% on Croquet balls. Almost all croquet balls are made in China, including Sunshiny's that we have provided to the croquet world for 25 years.
