Tuesday, April 7, 2026 ~ The Harbour, Woodland, and Delta Loops were groomed this morning and are in good shape. The skate skiers might notice that the trails are not as wide as the spring melt has eaten away at the width!

The forecast for the foreseeable future does not bode well for skiing so this will be the last time that the trails are groomed. It’s been a great year!

A reminder - the Biathlon Club is offering a ski wax service on April 11 from 12-2pm at the ski club. Get your skis cleaned and "summerized" to support the clubs activities.

Spring Ski Wax Clinic ~

Get your skis cleaned and protected for the summer!

The Biathlon Club is having a wax clinic

Saturday April 11 from 12 until 3pm

at the Blind River Cross Country Ski Club.

It is important to clean and wax your skis for the summer to insure their continued performance. The wax protects skis from oxidization. The oxidization blocks the pores of the ski base, ads drag and prevents wax from penetrating the base. Waxeless skis also need wax at both ends of the skis. Cost is $20 and up for waxable skis with kick wax.

Friday, March 27, 2026 ~ The Harbour, Woodland and Delta loops were groomed using the drag to get out the icy chunks and then groomed for the skate skiers and a track was set for the classic skiers. All trails are in excellent shape and ready for the weekend!

Wednesday, March 25, 2025 ~ The Harbour, Beacon, Woodland and Delta Loops were groomed this morning and are in good condition. Grooming the Porcupine and Cameco Loops will be discontinued for the remainder of the season due to deep snow drifts and drainage issues.

Tuesday, March 24, 2026 ~ The Harbour, Beacon, Woodland and Delta Loops were rolled and combed this morning before the snow and are good for skate skiing.

The forecast shows snow tomorrow morning so the plan is to comb skate lanes again and set classic tracks once snow subsides.

Toques off to Terry Fryer who helped out with grooming trails and John Lediett who opened up the trails after "Snowmageddon"

February 25, 2026 ~ The groomer gang were out early this morning and all trails were groomed and ready for both classic and skate skiing! Enjoy!

Monday, February 23, 2026 ~ Our children’s learn to ski program was a huge success with 30 participants gracing our trails! Special thanks goes out to Mandy, Michel, Katie, Anders and Otto for teaching our newest skiers the fun part of skiing!

St. Mary’s grade 2/3 class will be out on the trails on Tuesday afternoon.

Tuesday afternoon is also the last day for our Ski and Tea. We hope to see lots of skiers joining the students.

Lastly, the groomer gang was out this morning grooming all skate lanes as well as the bunny hill! Have fun and dress warm!

Saturday, February 21, 2026 ~ The groomer gang freshened up the skate lanes while removing the big twigs along the routes. The wind is not helping us in keeping our trails “clean”. There’s always a twig or an oak leaf! The trails are still in excellent shape!
