Another Hall of Fame ceremony is in the books!

Photos, videos and more will be shared early next week - but a big thank you to all those involved in tonight's success, and congratulations to our 2026 inductees.

This evening is our community’s celebration of sport, with the induction of a new class of athletes into the Town of Berwick Sports Hall of Fame.

This event also recognizes athletes whose recent achievements may one day earn them a place in the Hall of Fame.

This year’s induction ceremony honours:
1957 Central Kings Girls Volleyball
Andy Peters
Kevin Thompson
Lawrence Jerome Toney, posthumously
Katelyn Morton

Special recognition will also be paid to Cleo d’Eon.

The event will be held at the Berwick and District Lions Hall. Doors open at 6 PM, with the ceremony beginning at 7 PM. Light refreshments will follow.

Free will donations will be accepted at the door.

All are welcome to attend.

The ceremony will also be livestreamed on the Town of Berwick page, beginning at 6:50 PM.

Saturday, June 13th is the annual Town of Berwick Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

Each year, the community gathers to celebrate outstanding athletes and teams who have proudly called Berwick home. The ceremony also recognizes athletes whose recent achievements may one day earn them a place in the Hall of Fame.

Central Kings Senior Girls Volleyball (1957)

The public is invited to attend, and free-will donations will be accepted at the door. Doors open at 6 PM, with the ceremony beginning at 7 PM.

The Town of Berwick Sports Hall of Fame is pleased to announce the 2026 induction class.

"This year’s class represents an incredible range of talent and dedication to sport,” said Mike Trinacty, Berwick Sports Hall of Fame committee member. “These inductees have achieved success at the provincial, national and international levels, and we’re proud to celebrate their accomplishments!”

On June 13th, the Berwick Sports Hall of Fame will proudly induct Katelyn Morton, Andy Peters, Kevin Thompson, Lawrence Toney Sr. (posthumously) and the 1957 CKRHS Senior Girls Volleyball Team.

The Berwick Sports Hall of Fame is entering its 28th year of honoring the incredible achievements of our local athletes. This special and cherished tradition celebrates the accomplishments that have shaped our community’s sports history.
If you know someone with significant achievements in sport and recreation who deserves recognition, consider nominating them. Forms are available, and committee members are happy to help guide you through the process.

Nominations for 2026 will close January 30th but nominations are accepted year-round for future events.

Tomorrow Night - Celebrate Sport in Berwick
Join us Saturday at 7 PM as we welcome five new members into the Berwick Sports Hall of Fame.

Along with the inductions, we’ll also take a moment to recognize some of the incredible achievements by local athletes over the past year. From big wins to personal milestones, it’s a chance to celebrate the hard work and talent in our community.

The event is open to the public. Light refreshments will follow, and donations are accepted at the door.

Location: Berwick Lions Hall, 250 Veterans Drive
Time: Doors open at 6 PM, with the event start at 7 PM
