🎓We are so proud to celebrate our three graduates this year—Kemi, Quinn, and Megan!

Each of you has shown outstanding dedication, hard work, and consistency throughout your years at Vesselli. You’ve grown so much not only as dancers, but as individuals—becoming role models for our younger dancers and setting an example of commitment, kindness, and perseverance.

Your willingness to help, volunteer, and support others has not gone unnoticed. Whether in class, rehearsals, or performances, you’ve contributed so much to the positive energy and strong community spirit that makes Vesselli what it is.

It is never easy to say goodbye, and you will be deeply missed—on stage, in practices, and in the everyday moments that made our days brighter.

As you step into this next chapter, we hope you continue to dance wherever life takes you. Keep your passion alive, stay confident in who you are, and never lose the joy that brought you here.

Де є танець — там є життя
Where there is dance, there is life

Congratulations Kemi, Quinn & Megan 🎓

We are honoured to have been featured in not one, but two recent Swan Valley Star and Times community articles highlighting the accomplishments of our club.

One article showcased our Annual Spring Concert, celebrating a season of hard work, growth, and performances by dancers of all ages. The second highlighted our successful competition season, including our achievements at the Brandon Troyanda and Yorkton Kalyna Ukrainian Dance Competitions.

Thank you to the Star and Times for helping share our story and celebrate the accomplishments of our dancers.

We are incredibly proud of everything our dancers achieved this season and look forward to another exciting year beginning this fall!

In memory of Lynda Popoff, and through the generosity of community donations made in her memory, the Lynda Popoff Memorial Award was created to continue honouring the values that meant so much to Lynda — dedication, kindness, volunteerism, commitment, and a deep love for Ukrainian culture.

Presented annually to a senior dancer, this award recognizes someone who leads with positivity, gives back to their community, and proudly helps preserve and celebrate Ukrainian traditions through dance and beyond.

This year’s recipient, Quinn Barker, truly reflects these qualities through years of dedication to Vesselli, commitment to both school and community involvement, and a willingness to always lend a helping hand. Whether it’s stepping in to help younger dancers or volunteering at club fundraisers and events, Quinn is always willing to support those around him.

Quinn’s positive attitude, strong work ethic, and passion for Ukrainian culture make him a wonderful role model and a great example of what this award represents.

Congratulations, Quinn, on receiving the Lynda Popoff Memorial Award. 💙💛

Today we celebrate Vyshyvanka Day — a day that honours and preserves Ukrainian culture, identity, and tradition through one of its most meaningful symbols: the vyshyvanka.

More than just an embroidered shirt, the vyshyvanka tells stories of family, history, resilience, and community. Every pattern, colour, and stitch carries generations of tradition and pride.

At Vesselli, we are proud to continue sharing and celebrating Ukrainian culture through dance, music, friendships, and community. Today we celebrate not only our heritage, but the dancers, families, alumni, and supporters who help keep these traditions alive for future generations.

Happy Vyshyvanka Day! 💙💛
