The final Division on Day 2 was one of our favourites; the YOUTH Singles, four athletes aged 14 y/o and younger, playing full court singles. Congratulations to Valeria Taborda on winning GOLD, Emily Taborda in taking home SILVER, and Emma Hu for winning the BRONZE. Special mention for Evan Hu for playing so well in his first ever tournament. We are all so proud of these kids! They have a very bright future in this sport.

Our highest level on Day 2 of The Belleville Open was the Mens 4.0+ Split Age group, which had 9 teams and a healthy round robin of 8 games prior to the medal round. The action was incredible!

Congratulations to Elijah Ferguson and Allan Regnier in winning GOLD, Michael Botterill and Stacy Merriam in taking home the SILVER, Mark Wilson and Jake Wilson in winning the BRONZE. Incredible job gentlemen!

Continuing right along with our list of winners from last weeks The Belleville Open, here are the winners who played indoors due to the high winds that took over Friday and Saturday.

Congratulations to our podium winners in the Women's 3.5 ages 50-60, Janet Sanderson and Catherine Dhavernas winning GOLD, Tracey McCullough and Jennifer Crowder taking home SILVER, Sherry Gowdy and Shelley Asselstine winning the BRONZE. Well done ladies!

The QPA is thrilled to announce that we have decided to sponsor two of our youth, Emily and Valeria Taborda, in supporting their pickleball dreams. These two young women are showing signs of greatness, on and off the courts, and we couldn't be happier to help them along their journey. We are providing a $500 Sponsorship plus complimentary admission to QPA events. We want to help them spread their wings and compete at tournaments in other areas, representing the Quinte region. Rounding out the final Group that endured the high winds that crept into the Quinte area yesterday were the Mens 3.0 ages 50-64. Winning the GOLD were Dave O'Neill and Carl Bowker. Taking home the SILVER was Glenn Tyrell and Dwayne DeSouza, and capturing the BRONZE was Egerton Boyce and Ian Flynn. Congratulations gentlemen!

Our second champions of the day were in the Men's 3.0 ages 65+. Winning the GOLD were Ken Schmidt and Mark Phillips, SILVER went to Eugene Courtney and Jim Ash, and the BRONZE was won by Gerard Kennedy and Giulio Shincariol. Congratulations gentlemen!

Day 2 of the QPA The Belleville Open saw incredible action both outdoors and indoors, with morning players braving the winds at Sonny Belch park, while the afternoon players battled it out inside Pickleplex Belleville.
