It is getting close to inspection time and these kiddos are READY!
Due to logistics and circumstances that could not be controlled we have agreed to help make things easier for our examiner by grouping up with a couple other breeders and doing our inspection in Edmonton this year.
While this means we need to travel I do think the babies will show off better in a new environment than they will at home.
I can’t wait to see what feedback we receive this season.
These inspections are a great way to get an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses in a current breeding program and to obtain goals for growth and quality.
In the last few years we have really focused in on what we want to be producing, using the Westfalen German Riding Pony model, and strive to bring our Curly coats up to par with European standards.
Inspections give us scores and feedback on our mares as well as grading for each foal crop. These scores and remarks can add a lot of value, as the seal of approval from the registry.
As breeders we work very hard and invest a lot into making the best foals possible for our clients.
