Time for our next community paddle! 🚣🚣‍♂️🚣‍♀️ We'll be on the water at the Shubie Canal on Thursday, August 27th. We hope to be paddling at 630pm so please show up a bit early to unload your boats.

As always, we'll have our canoes available for you to use for free! The canoes are filling up so make sure to register and secure your spot now.

All skill levels and boats welcome!

What an amazing way to spend a Sunday! We saw plenty of curious seals and beautiful birds (herons, osprey, cormorants, eagles, and gulls). Thank you to Eastern Shore Pride - Nova Scotia for organizing such a great community event and to The Deanery Project for hosting us.

I was fortunate enough to lead a community Pride paddle in partnership with Eastern Shore Pride. It was a privilege to be a part of their amazing programming. Be sure to check out the rest of their schedule!!

Gathering together and including ourselves in activities and spaces is an important aspect of Pride. I'm proud to be apart of such a beautiful and loving q***r community.

Join us on the water during the Eastern Shore Pride Paddle on August 16th! Jenn MacLatchy and our own Camber MacLean will be leading joint kayak and canoe group paddles at the Deanery in Lower Ships Harbour. There will be two chances to paddle at 12-3pm and 4-7pm. $50 per participant. Register now!!

Looking to get out on the water and connect with community? Join us for the Pride Paddle in the beautiful sheltered waters of Ship Harbour!

We welcome all q***r, trans, and non-binary folks to take part in this beginner-friendly sea kayak and canoe experience led by instructors Jenn MacLatchy and Camber MacLean. Launching from The Deanery, this is a great opportunity to enjoy nature, try something new, and celebrate Pride together.

🌈🌈 Come join us on the Shubie Canal to celebrate our pride on Thursday, June 25th 🌈🌈 Everyone deserves love and community! Let's celebrate our lgbtqia2s+ community and share our love of the water.

Our first community paddle of the season is coming up! We've partnered with the Shubenacadie Canal Commision to provide monthly community paddles at the Fairbanks Centre in Dartmouth.

Our community paddles are open to the public and free of charge. Our goal is to get people together on the water! Grab your gear and meet us at the water to explore the Shubie Canal and Lake Charles. Don't have a boat? Don't worry! Meguma Canoe will have everything you need available to borrow during our community paddles.

Hey everyone, it's Camber! It's been a while (a long while) and Meguma Canoe has gone through some pretty big changes.

After some significant life changes, I've moved Meguma Canoe from Annapolis Valley to Halifax! But don't worry, our services are still mobile so we can deliver canoe rentals, lessons, and excursions across the Maritimes.

I have been fortunate enough to welcome a new member to our team! Meet Francine, a passionate artist and paddler who's ready to share her wealth of knowledge with the community. Francine's skills and experiences are going to help expand our services and increase our capacity. Look out for new artistic and creative content in our programming!

You may have noticed but Meguma Canoe has a fresh new look! Thanks to .hfx, we have a new logo that better captures our personality. Everyone's loves some 70s vibes! You'll also notice us cruising around in our new tow vehicle, a Jeep Wranger JK. Our JK will make sure we can still get these boats to nearly any water body in the Maritimes. Say hi 👋 when you see us around!

While Meguma Canoe has gone through some hefty change and growth, we haven't changed who we are. We love to paddle and our goal is to provide a safe space for others to do the same. Let us do the heavy lifting (literally) so you can have a fulfilling experience.

We'll be planning some public events around Halifax this summer! Watch our page for our upcoming schedule. Paddle Canada courses and community paddles are on the way!
