Holistic Wellness Dance

Holistic Wellness Dance I am a creative artist and entrepreneur who works with dance and expression to process life experiences. A choreographer for over twenty years.

Cherie Hill is a creative artist, dancer, performer, teacher and scholar whose art explores human expression and how it is conveyed through the body in collaboration with nature, music, and visual imagery. My movement practices have led me to research and investigate the body, as well as ways to integrate the mind, body, heart, and spirit. Throughout my journey, I have developed healthy and engagi

ng practices to process emotions, navigate challenges, connect with myself and my community, and maintain overall well-being through dance.

I am a dancer with over three decades of experience. A teacher of all different ages and demographics. Former Co-President of the CA Dance Education Association. We are so grateful for this testimony 🤍

One of our Dance for Joy participants shares her experience after months of practice—feeling more relaxed, releasing stored tension, and reconnecting to a sense of alignment in her body.

Thank you for trusting this space and your own unfolding through movement.

Women’s History Month reminder:

Rest is powerful. Rest is necessary. Rest is sacred. ✨
Taking time to stretch, breathe, and reconnect with yourself allows you to show up stronger for everything and everyone in your life.

Our offerings create space for women to slow down, reconnect with their bodies, and restore their energy.

This moment from our Dance Dream Rejuvenate Retreat yoga class is a reminder to pause, breathe, and return to yourself.

Because when women take time to care for themselves, our power deepens. 🌿✨

When we nurture our own well-being, we become better for ourselves and for others. ✨

Take a moment for yourself today, this week, this month, and continuously 🌿

Less than one minute. That’s all it takes.

This gentle constructive rest movement releases tension in the lower back while softly mobilizing the hips and spine. Just letting the legs sway side to side can help the body reset, release tightness, and invite a moment of rejuvenation.

Your body doesn’t always need an hour — sometimes it just needs a minute of attention.

Take the minute.. ✨

A powerful testament to the necessity of aspiration, this exploration confronts the dangerous notion that dreams are somehow 'illegal' in certain spaces. Instead, it spotlights the crucial work of the **Black Women Dream** project—a powerful manifestation born from the understanding that Black women, often the unsung anchors managing homes, finances, and families, simply do not get the chance to dream enough. If the vision for our own liberation, deepest desires, pleasure, and a life of true richness and satisfaction isn't actively nurtured, how can it ever take root? Unpack the core questions of belonging and equity examined through dance, somatic work, and community building within this moving initiative aimed at boosting well-being and connection to freedom. An absolute must-see discussion on reclaiming possibility.

“Dance & Wellness: The Black Women Dream Project,” has been published in Dance Education in Practice — NDEO’s special issue on Dance & Wellness. 🙌🏽

This project grew out of a longing to create space for Black women to dream, move, rest, and imagine beyond survival. Through dance, somatic practice, and collective care, we practiced liberation in our bodies.

Thank you to for recognizing the importance of this work and for amplifying voices that sit at the intersection of dance, wellness, and justice.

Endless gratitude to the women who showed up fully — with courage, openness, and joy.
✨ Dreaming is not a luxury.
✨ Dance is not extra.
✨ Wellness is not neutral.
