We are happy to announce the first weekend jits sesh for the year! To start off, we will be working with to do a fundraising seminar to help teach kids jiu-jitsu!

With two black belts and a full open mat filled with the local gyms, come out and check out what jiu-jitsu is.

All guards are meant to be used offensively and defensively. Intention, however, is the deciding factor. Remember, the goal in Jiu-jitsu is to submit, and the humble guard is a cog in the machine that leads to submission.

Half guard is characterised by the control of one of the opponents' legs with your own legs (lockdown) and is considered a useful strategy to disrupt your opponent's balance.

FINISHERS ☠️⭕️☠️

On Sunday, October 12th, our coach, a clansman and two jaguars went out to represent at the recent FINISHERS CIRCLE, which not only showcased superfights but also provided the opportunity to athletes all over the country, to show by action, who deserved to represent the 501.

Here are our results:

Coach Ben: after an intense match with an intense opponent was defeated but got the sub in his second match.

CHRISTIAN FLOWERS: his debut match showcased grit and some strong flexibility but also was defeated.

Our sister house: .jaguars.jiujitsu left with two solid victories.

It takes actual effort and heart to step on the mats and so a huge round of applause to ALL COMPETITORS. To fight for a spot to represent our great nation is a honor.

Huge thanks goes to to provide a platform for Jiu-jitsu at this level. It would be cool if we competed in a pit next year😉

Lastly, a special thanks to the clan and our sister house for the collective effort that we put in to get here.

We aren't finished by a long shot and you will see us competing soon enough. After all, we are here to stay.

A common phrase in jiu-jitsu with an important lesson: you have to learn to know when to do that. Often times, you just have to pay attention to the flow of the roll.

Reset on your own terms. It is your strategy.
