On the 28th of September 2025, we made history.
The inaugural Nhabe International Marathon in Maun, Botswana which brought our community together in a powerful celebration of endurance, unity, and purpose.

It was more than a race it was a moment that reminded us what is possible when people come together.

Now, the marathon is back.

The 2nd Edition returns on Saturday, 26 September 2026, carrying forward the spirit of the first and setting the stage for something even greater.

🚨 BREAKING: Eliud Kipchoge, the marathon icon, has launched a new app called Kotcha run to share his training methods with runners everywhere. Working alongside the NN Running Team he aims to give athletes of all levels access to the strategies, tools, and insights that have driven his record-breaking achievements.

“People always ask me about my secret. Today, I’m offering a way to share it,” Kipchoge explained.

The app delivers tailored training programs, practical tips, and motivational content, enabling runners to embrace his approach while staying true to their own style.

Runners can pre-register on the App Store to be among the first to try the app. This launch underscores Kipchoge’s commitment to making elite-level training accessible to everyone.

Dear Nhabe Marathoners of 2025

This serves to inform you that the medals are in Maun, and as such distribution will start tomorrow 15th October, 2025.

Those who registered as teams or in groups; medals will be sent to your group leaders/administrators.

Individuals will be given in isolation as follows; those in and around Maun, you can collect your medal anytime during working hours at the NWDC Public Relations Office, or call 71889596 to collect elsewhere around the village.

Those outside Maun, please whatsapp/call us on 71889596 to arrange for delivery to your place (costs on us). Please bring an Identity document when collecting, as only those who completed the race will be awarded the medals. We thank you for your patience.

The prize winners, your accounts will be credit during the course of the week also. Please ensure you gave/give us correct details of your preferred method of payment. Thank you
