SUBJECT: STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT MEETING β 27 JUNE 2026
1. The above subject matter refers.
2. The Botswana Football Association hereby notifies and invites all Premier
League Clubs, First Division League Clubs and Regional Committees of
a Stakeholder Engagement Meeting scheduled as follows:
2.1. Date: 27 June 2026
2.2. Time: 0900hrs β 1300hrs
2.3. Venue: Gaborone - University of Botswana Library Auditorium
3. This meeting forms part of the Associationβs formal compliance and
governance programme for the 2026/27 football season. The primary
objective is to ensure that all clubs and regional structures fully
understand and commit to their obligations under the BFA Statutes,
Regulations, and Club Licensing Framework. The meeting will address
areas of identified non-compliance, reinforce the minimum licensingand financial governance standards required for participation in
sanctioned competitions, and culminate in the adoption of binding
resolutions and a documented compliance roadmap to guide football
administration during the 2026/27 season and beyond.
4. The following thematic areas, with particular emphasis on compliance,
governance, and club licensing, will be addressed during the meeting:
a) Governance and Institutional Accountability;
b) League Operations and Competition Management;
c) Club Licensing, Financial Governance, and Compliance Standards
(Priority Area);
d) Player Welfare and Labour Relations;
e) Player transfer procedures; and
f) Dispute Resolution Mechanisms.
5. All clubs and regional structures are required to submit the full names,
emails and designations of two (2) designated representatives to the
