Sport should be placed at the service of humanity through actions which link sport to culture and education.
Today the International Olympic Academy Participants Association-IOAPA Botswana presented gifts to GBV survivors at the Botswana Gender Based Violence Centre (BGBVC) in Gaborone, a gesture that is in line with the Olympic Value of "Friendship" and the Olympic Principle of "Solidarity"
BGBVC staff who will then educate GBV survivors, were educated on Olympic Values with particular emphasis on the value of "Respect" which tallies well with fighting GBV at family and communities levels for Peace and Safer Communities
