*Gaborone Taxi Operators Reduce Fares to P8 on Key City Routes*

*GABORONE*
Taxi operators servicing routes from Gaborone Station to Main Mall, Marina, and the University of Botswana (UB) have announced a fare reduction from P10 to P8, effective Monday, August 31, 2026.

The adjusted fare will cover passengers traveling through Main Mall, Marina, Sir Ketumile Masire hospital, Partial, Avani, Maruapula, Ginger, Tsholofelo, BBS Mall, and Sarona Mall.

Operators stated that the reduction is intended to maintain service accessibility for commuters amid current economic pressures and high passenger demand in the central business and university areas.

They further indicated that they are prepared to meet any competition from other public transport operators, including combis, and remain committed to providing reliable and affordable services to the public.
