Queens Park Rangers Sporting Club Holds Successful AGM, Eyes 80th Anniversary

QPR Grounds, 22 August 2026 – Queens Park Rangers Sporting Club held a successful Annual General Meeting on Saturday, with strong turnout and exciting plans for the future.

More than 35 registered members attended the meeting, and the club also welcomed about 25 new members who registered on the day. The growth signals renewed interest in the club as it prepares for major milestones.

A key item on the agenda was preparations for the club’s 80th Anniversary Celebrations set for next year. The Local Organising Committee (LOC) updated members on initial plans and said activities to mark the historic occasion are already underway.

Club leadership noted that while membership has grown, the club is still calling on more people to register and be part of QPR’s next chapter.

The AGM ended on a positive note, with members committing to support the club both on and off the field as QPR builds toward its 80-year celebrations in 2027.

GOAL DIGGERS CONFIRM PURCHASE OF STALLIONS STATUS

MAHALAPYE — Goal Diggers FC have officially confirmed the purchase of Royal Stallions FC’s league status ahead of the new season.

In a statement released this week, Goal Diggers said the deal has been finalized between the two clubs.
However, the figure involved in the transaction remains undisclosed.

Club officials noted that while the purchase agreement is complete, the move is still subject to approval by the Botswana Football Association National Executive Committee [BFA NEC].

“The process is now with the BFA NEC for ratification. We are awaiting their final approval before we can proceed,” the club stated.

If approved, Goal Diggers will take over Royal Stallions’ position in the CSRFA Division One League structure for the 2026/2027 season.
