A Great Start at the BAF Fun Archery Stall!

Day One was full of energy! Many visitors stopped by to pick up a bow and try archery, with more than 90 balloons popped and over 25 prizes claimed! 🎈🎁

Today, the adults largely took centre stage. But tomorrow is Saturday, and we are especially looking forward to welcoming our young archers!

We have soft toys and other fun prizes waiting for the kids, so bring them along and let them experience the thrill of hitting their first target!

Best Wishes to Our Para-Archers in Ahmedabad!

We would like to extend our warmest wishes to our para-archers Tika Ram Ghalley and Tshewang Lhamo, who will represent Bhutan at the Ahmedabad 2026 Hyundai World Para Archery Series, scheduled from 5–9 September 2026.

This will be Tika’s third international competition, marking another important opportunity to build on his experience on the international stage. For Tshewang, Ahmedabad will mark her international debut. It will be an exciting milestone as she begins her journey representing Bhutan beyond our borders.

We are proud to see our para-archers continuing to grow, gain international exposure and carry Bhutan’s flag with pride.

We also extend our best wishes to Coach Karma Tshering and thank the Bhutan Paralympic Committee for providing our para-athletes with opportunities to train, compete and progress internationally.

Wishing Tika and Tshewang confidence, focus and a memorable competition in Ahmedabad.

🇧🇹🏹🇧🇩 Strengthening Bhutan–Bangladesh Friendship Through Archery.

The Bhutan - Bangladesh Friendship Archery Tournament has successfully concluded in Dhaka, marking another meaningful chapter in the friendship between our two countries through sport.

Held as part of preparations for the upcoming 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, the tournament provided our Recurve and Compound archers with valuable competitive exposure alongside the Bangladesh National Team. Team Bhutan also returned with medals across several individual and team events, making the experience both rewarding and encouraging ahead of the Asian Games.

The Bhutan Archery Federation would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Mr. Kazi Rajib Uddin Ahmed Chapol, President of World Archery Asia and the Bangladesh Archery Federation, for his kind invitation and continued support to Bhutanese archery. We are equally grateful to the Bangladesh Archery Federation for the warm hospitality extended to our entire delegation, including generously covering their food and accommodation throughout their stay from 21–31 August 2026.

Beyond medals and scores, this friendship tournament demonstrated how archery can bring our two countries and sporting communities closer together. The opportunity to train, compete and interact with our Bangladeshi friends has been invaluable for our athletes as they prepare for the Asian Games.

Dhaka hosted us with warmth and friendship. We look forward to an opportunity to welcome our Bangladeshi archery friends to Bhutan and continue strengthening this special friendship through archery.

Taking Archery Beyond the Classroom!

We were pleased to welcome students of RTC to our archery range at Langjophakha today for their practical session under the Bhutanese Indigenous Games and Sports (BIG201) module.

We deeply appreciate RTC’s initiative to integrate Bhutanese indigenous games and sports into academic learning. Such programmes make an important contribution towards preserving our rich sporting heritage while also promoting greater understanding and development of archery among our youth.

BAF was happy to provide our range for the practical session and contribute, in our small way, to this meaningful initiative.

Our sincere appreciation to Programme Leader KuenLay Tshayring DhongKarm for coordinating the programme and for the continued support and cooperation extended to BAF and our athletes.

We look forward to more such collaborations in promoting and developing archery in Bhutan la!
