A Lesson Beyond the Summer Break!
I had been thinking to write about one of the most meaningful experiences of my summer break. With professionโs responsibilities and matters of personal life, this reflection took longer than expected to share.
While escorting my three media students to the Bhutan Olympic House for a 10-day Summer Immersion Programme, I found myself learning just as much as they did.
The programme made me realize that becoming a content writer or content creator is not simply about writing captions or making videos. It requires understanding the true role of media, mastering the basics, and applying the right techniques and principles. Every camera angle, every shot, every reel, every poster, banner, and news story carries a purpose and tells a story.
One lesson that stayed with me is that originality will always matter, even in a world where AI is becoming part of our everyday lives. Technology can assist us, but our creativity, perspective, and authenticity are what make our work meaningful.
I left the immersion with a heart full of gratitude, satisfaction, and a renewed desire to keep learning from the amazing mentors ( Mr. Ugyen & Mr. Kinley) who guided us.
A special thank you to Mr. Victor Gurung, whose words continue to inspire me. He reminded us that we should create our own identity and our own brand, so the world knows we do exits. Exists not by copying others, but by letting our unique work speak for itself.
Ten days may have ended, but the lessons and inspiration will stay with me for a long time. And I wish to grow along in this field apart from my other hobbies and passion.
