July is by far the most beautiful month to dive in Dean's Blue Hole. Water temperature is a perfect 29–30ºC (85ºF), and visibility can reach insane levels of crystal – last year we could see the plate 58 meters below us! 💎
The catch is that most years we're unable to offer any courses in July, but this year is different, and we've squeezed a trio of courses into a 2-week period:

Another Professional Safety Freediver® workshop has just concluded at Y40, led by Vertical Blue Chief of Safety, Marco Cosentino

Originally designed for competition safety, the programme has now evolved to meet the needs of the wider freediving community — especially instructors and advanced freedivers who want to take safety to the next level.

It’s not just about rescue. It’s about training, shared know-how, awareness, prevention, and the ability to make the right decisions when it matters most.

Performance keeps progressing — and safety must evolve with it.

Vertical Blue Team continues to play a key role in this evolution, contributing to the development of knowledge, standards, anti-doping, and professional training that shape the future of freediving.

The upcoming Vertical Blue Professional Safety Freediver® Workshop held by our Chief of Safety Marco Cosentino next weekend at Y-40 Deep Joy is sold out!

It will be an intensive training weekend focused on safety training and safety management, with participants coming from different areas of the freediving world: instructors from various training agencies, freedivers holding advanced certifications, and high-level athletes — all driven by a strong motivation to improve their skills in this field.

Ten years ago, Claire Beatrix Paris was 50 meters deep into Dean’s Blue Hole when she realized she might not resurface.

VERTICAL BLUE 2025 "Back to the origin of depths" edition is a wrap.
Even if this was an intimate edition of the event, the numbers have been - as usual - really impressive:
- 17 Athletes representing 15 Countries
- 3 Absolute World Records from Alenka Artnik Freediving (123 CWT) and Arnaud Jerald (125 and 126 in CWT-BF)
- 21 National Records
- 5 World Records in the M2 category for Beatrix Paris
- 1 World Record in the M1 category for Alfredo Roën
