Koji Ogata Shihan has been appointed Technical Director of JTK.
Until today he supported us from outside. From today he stands within the Honbu, and the technique of JTK remains in his hands — to protect, and to grow.
Born in Kyoto in 1968, Ogata Shihan began karate at the age of eight. He served on Japan’s national team from 1985 to 1994, and won the kumite title at both the Shoto Cup World Championships (2004) and the Funakoshi Gichin Cup World Championships (2006). He has taken every major national title in Japan.
Wherever in the world you train — the same technique, carried by the same heart.
Wherever you are, the Honbu is beside you.
