Train the Trainers Seminar Empowers Golf Professionals to Drive Sustainability in Sport
The first “Train the Trainers” seminar under the GOLF 4 CIRCULARITY project was successfully held on 21–22 May 2025 at Pravets Golf Club, Bulgaria. The event brought together golf coaches, educators, and sports professionals from across Europe to strengthen their capacity to promote sustainability, inclusion, and circular economy principles in grassroots golf.
The two-day seminar focused on:
-Introducing the educational modules and learning materials developed under the project
-Providing guidance on delivering the EcoGolfer Golf Game
-Training coaches to integrate circular economy thinking into golf education and club culture
-Sharing best practices and case studies from partner countries
Participants engaged in interactive workshops, practical sessions, and collaborative group work—equipping them to become local ambassadors of the GOLF 4 CIRCULARITY model.
Stanko Marinov, Head Coach of the Bulgarian National Golf Team and host representative, emphasized:
“This program is not just about golf skills — it’s about shaping a new generation of eco-conscious athletes and making the sport more inclusive and sustainable for the future.”
The seminar marks an important milestone in the project, ensuring that trained coaches can effectively support the roll-out of the pilot activities across partner communities, schools, and golf clubs in the coming months.
Stay tuned as the next steps include local implementation, the launch of the Online Hackathon, and the mobile Eco Golf infrastructure designed by youth.
