Hi, I'm Bory! :) I am a yogi, mom and nature lover based in Sofia, Bulgaria. Prior to returning to my hometown, I spent the last 13 years living and working in New York. I know far too well what imbalance, burn out and living in "fight, flight, freeze" mode feels like.
I worked two jobs and constantly struggled to keep up with the pace of the big city... I used to believe that productivity is equivalent to self-worth. This lifestyle brought me on an emotional rollercoaster and I felt very reactive, disembodied and out of balance. Not because I stopped working or quit the busy city life, but because my perspective changed, my body felt more clear, integrated, receptive, and ultimately my mind did too. Yoga gifted me practical tools to handle life more gracefully. It’s through this powerful practice of embodiment that I was able to change my mind and become more expansive and happy. Yoga is not about being perfect and calm all the time; it’s about knowing how to bring yourself back into balance. It is not about being loving and kind, yoga is about being powerful. And choosing to act out of love and kindness is a powerful choice. There is a quote by Rumi that serves as a personal mantra: "What you seek is seeking you." And what I seek the most in life is TRUTH, or being my most true self. I have come to realize that it is my calling to be a teacher (and forever a student) & share the benefits of this practice with others. Since becoming a certified yoga teacher in 2018, I have thought a lot about what it means to be a teacher and the best way to define it is by a quote from my mentor Alex: "Teaching is an act of love. It nurtures one’s spirit, nourishes their soul, and enhances spiritual growth.”
My dream is to build a wellness community that will hold safe space for myself and others seeking more balance in their busy lives; to offer students practical tools to feel more integrated, more powerful and collectively experience more love and joy in life.
