Foundation and Capacity Building Workshop: Designing Senior-Friendly Infrastructure 🤝

Yesterday (11.01.2026), we hosted a successful co-creation workshop to address the barriers seniors face when cycling. By bringing together a diverse group of stakeholders from seniors to local athletes we moved from identifying problems to mapping real solutions.

During the session, we used digital maps to find the best routes and planned out our new CARE Cafés. These will be special spots along the paths where you can grab a coffee, rest, and meet friendly neighbors. Our key takeways included mapping out where bike lanes need to be fixed and added, good locations for social CARE Cafe hubs and plan to spread the information across the city.

A huge thank you to everyone who shared their ideas. Stay tuned as we start bringing these safe routes and café stops to life!

CARE Project Kick-Off in Athens 🤝🇪🇺

We are proud to announce the successful completion of our first transnational partner meeting, held on November 20th in Athens, Greece.

It was an incredible kick-off meeting with our partners from Greece, Poland and Bulgaria. We shared ideas, mapped out the future steps of the project including ideas for cycling routes and Cafe hubs, and started building the partnership that will make this project a success.

We are excited to work together to help seniors stay active, healthy, and connected through cycling. Athens gave us a warm welcome, and we’re leaving with more ideas and a clear vision!

We are thrilled to announce that our Erasmus+ project, CARE is officially starting! 🚲✨

CARE is a project dedicated to helping our seniors live healthier, happier lives through cycling. We are tackling social isolation and physical inactivity by building a special network of cycling hubs and CARE Cafés.

What to expect:
- Healthy Aging: Programs to help seniors stay active and strong.
- Community Connection: Volunteer activities that bring seniors and young people together.
- Greener Cities: Support for better, safer bike lanes and eco-friendly travel and more.
