One of my favorite and easiest ways to score a quick two points. When in deep half guard, offer the opponent the underhook and expose your elbow. Most opponents cannot resist the idea of what they consider an easy arm bar, especially in the last seconds of a match.

When the opponent drops down, lift your inside hook and bridge. Two points and the ideal spot to start the fireman pass. Completely explained on my instructional "Back Defense and Being Offensive with Someone on your Back at BJJ Fanatics.

Want to solve 90% of your half guard problems.

Keep your head from the ground close to your opponent. Concave shoulders. Set up a tight grip and now wherever your opponent is, sweep him towards the opposite shoulder.

This will trigger a reaction which you will use to set up your actual attack. In this match you can see me use my opponent's reaction to set up a back attack. This back take was originally shown to me by my long time friend and coach Felipe Costa.
