Match Report – Gent CC3 vs Antwerp Indians CC2
BCF League Division 3 – Meersen, Gent | Saturday, 09 May 2026

Gent Cricket Club-3 kicked off their BCF Division 3 season in style with a convincing victory over Antwerp Indians CC2 at Meersen.

Batting first in their opening game of the campaign, Gent CC3 showed patience and composure throughout the innings. Captain Aman Meyakhel provided stability at the top, while Dileepa Arachchige Priyadarshana played an important middle-order knock to guide the innings forward. Valuable contributions from Zahid Durani, Jahanghir Ahmadzai, and Muhammad Abdullah Riaz helped Gent post a strong total and finish the innings with momentum.

Antwerp Indians CC2 started the chase positively but struggled to build lasting partnerships against a disciplined Gent bowling attack. Eshmatullah Huseinkhel turned the game firmly in Gent’s favour with a superb spell, consistently picking up wickets at important moments. Muhammad Abdullah Riaz bowled with great control and provided crucial breakthroughs, while Zahid Durani chipped in with key wickets to keep the pressure on.

Gent CC3 combined sharp bowling with energetic fielding to control the match from start to finish, eventually sealing an impressive 69-run win in their very first match of the season.

🏏 Match Report – BCF T20 Cup 2026
📍 Meersen, Gent | 📅 02 May 2026

Not the result Gent CC wanted, but a game full of fight and positives. Batting first, Gent CC posted 152/9 in 20 overs after a challenging start.

Muhammad Siyar led the way with a brilliant 46 off 27 balls*, showing great intent and composure under pressure. He was supported by Ali Raza (30) and Omid Malikhel (18), helping Gent CC reach a competitive total.

With the ball, Gent CC came out disciplined and put the opposition under pressure at different stages. Sajad Ahmadzai delivered an outstanding spell, picking up 3 wickets for 22 runs, while others chipped in to keep the game alive till the later overs.
Despite the effort, Brussels Warriors CC-1 managed to chase the target in 18.1 overs. Credit to them for holding their nerve in the chase.

Plenty of positives to take from this performance. Gent CC showed character, resilience, and moments of quality throughout the game.
Gent CC will learn, improve, and come back stronger 👊

🏏 Match Report – BCF T20 Cup 2026. 25/04 & 26/04

Gent CC had a mixed but competitive weekend across both days of the BCF t20 Cup.

On Saturday (25 April) at Meersen, Gent CC 1 delivered a strong all-round performance, posting 161/8 and restricting Antwerp Indians CC 1 to 97/8, securing a convincing 64-run victory. In the second match, Gent CC 2 struggled to keep up with Ostend CC’s 175/6 and were bowled out for 125, resulting in a 50-run defeat.

On Sunday (26 April) at Wemmel Cricket Ground, Gent CC 2 bounced back in style. A solid total of 149/8, followed by an excellent bowling display, saw them dismiss PCCB for just 79, sealing a dominant 70-run win.

Overall, a weekend of strong performances, resilience, and valuable lessons for Gent CC. 💪
