Time for a little break
It’s World Bicycle today. Cycling is the greatest sport on the planet, even more, it’s the greatest hobby you can have and it’s a big passion of mine. Bidon Collant was founded from this passion. As a cyclist has goals, Bidon Collant has goals as well. Unfortunately, the goals that were stated at the beginning of the year were not met. Bidon Collant is not in form at the moment. A symptom of this is for example the lasting delivery issues. Achieving these goals is necessary to keep Bidon Collant in the peloton.
Bidon Collant is a one man company so the responsibility of meeting these goals is solely on me and I failed to create a growing, professional, streamlined business. So I decided to give myself some space to think about a new approach. A break of three months, a long summer training camp, let’s say. Maybe everything stays the same, maybe there will be a new product, maybe Bidon Collant shouldn’t be a one man team. Everything is in the open now.
More concretely, this means, there will be no monthly boxes in June, July and August. Except for Kopman-members who just joined, they will their 3 start boxes. The gift boxes will remain on sale in the webshop. The subscription for current Kopman members will be paused.
Although the responsibility is on me, finding a solution is something I shouldn’t do alone. Transparency is always key for me, so I will of course include partners, clients, potential customers and everyone who can help in this process. I’m extremely thankful for the continuous support, because a lot of people are still very happy with the monthly boxes, which is incredibly motivating. Cycling remains a big passion and it’s a dream to make Bidon Collant a mature business emerging from this passion.
