Classical Pilates or Contemporary Pilates... what's the difference? ✨

Both originate from the work of Joseph Pilates, but they have evolved in different ways over the years.

At Pure K Pilates, we consciously choose Classical Pilates. We believe in the strength of the original system: a thoughtful structure, attention to detail, and personal guidance.

That doesn't mean every class is the same. The different applications and attributes ensure that no two classes feel the same and can always be tailored to the people in front of us.

💬 Did you know there are different approaches to Pilates?

Did you know that the title "Pilates teacher" is not regulated?

This means that a teacher's education and experience can vary greatly. That's why I truly believe that the right guidance makes all the difference.

Anyone who attends my classes knows that I rarely stay in one place. I continuously move around, observing how each person moves, offering guidance where needed, and adapting exercises when they're more suitable for your body. Because no two bodies are the same.

This approach requires knowledge, experience, and a genuine commitment to continuous learning. That's why I've invested in education and international continuing education within Classical Pilates for more than 10 years. Not to collect certificates, but to support you with confidence and care.

At Pure K Pilates, it's not just about attending a class. It's about learning how to move in a way that is personal, safe, and tailored to your unique body. 🤍

✨ DOUBLE LEG STRETCH ✨

✨ DOUBLE LEG STRETCH ✨

The Double Leg Stretch is a beautiful exercise within Classical Pilates where control, precision, and breath come together.

The challenge is not about how far you extend your arms and legs, but about how stable your center remains while the body moves. By keeping the core engaged and moving with control, you train not only strength, but also coordination and body awareness.

As with all classical Pilates exercises, the quality of movement always comes first, not speed.

Save this post to practice later 🖤
