This week Jazzy went to his first international competition, CPEDI3* Aachen! I was so proud of him♡ it must be a sensory overload the first time a horse goes to such a big competition. New place, horses, people, sounds but he took it all in his stride!! Including the roaring football match that was been played at the stadium next door yesterday!! What a joy it was to work with a horse like this! It's been a long 18 months out of the competition scene so very exciting to be back! As always my thanks to my husband, James, my amazing trainer, Chris and a very big thank you to Victoria Riskalla for all her help looking after Jazzy!

After the last couple of sad posts, I'm thrilled to bring some happy news 😀 may I introduce my new teammate, Jazzynero SLS aka Jazzy!! It's taken over a year to find this gem but the wait has been worth it! A big thank you to Dirk and Jessica for helping me find him ❤️ He arrived Mid-january this year and I can't wait to see what the future holds!

My beautiful Elf Princess, your name said it all, you came into my life Just In Time but sadly you left too soon 💔
Last Wednesday I had to put my gorgeous Elfie down after a very sudden and horrible colic😢
She was a horse that challenged me, thrilled me and let me feel things i have only ever dreamed about. My biggest sadness is that I never got to show her true potential to the world.
Thank you my sweetest girl for everything ❤️🩵🧡💛💚💙💜

Yesterday my beautiful, amazing, wonderful, once in a life time horse, Benedict crossed the rainbow bridge to the big field in the sky❤️
I was so blessed to enjoy 22 fabulous years with this special boy. When I first moved to Belgium he was the only family I had. He was so much more than just a horse. He was my partner, friend and teacher! We travelled the world together and he made all my dreams come true.
After his competition career he went on to be the most phenomenal teacher and healer, helping so many people whether back into riding, finding their true calling in their professions or even finding their true inner strength!
This big red horse touched everybody's heart wherever we went💕and will be dearly missed.
It is one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make but in the end after an exquisite life of 31 years he went gently,with dignity and surrounded by so much love💝
Hamba kahle my beautiful boy and thank you, you truly raised me to more than I could be🙏😘

Now last but definitely not least, I would like to introduce everyone to the unsung hero of my preparation for Paris!! Meet Lex, a beautiful Lusitano stallion belonging to Henk van der Wiel. I really needed to get more saddle time so Robyn suggested Lex 💕 this little super star really reminded me why I love horses and riding so much. Just the fun of riding 😁 thank you so much to Johanna and Charlotte for letting me hog him and most of all a huge thank you to Cecilia for all her help in having him ready for me and helping me with looking after him when I had to rush off🙏❤️ without you I couldn't have managed it! And to Lex, thank you beautiful boy for being you💕💕

The dream team❤️
As always I could never have done this without the amazing support of my dream team! My trainer, Chris Haazen, the best trainer in the world 💪 we have completed 6 Paralympics together now and still going strong!! Thank you Chris for all that you bring to my life as well as for who you are! You truly are a legend 💕
My darling husband, James for all your love, support and wise words🙏 every time I wobbled you set me back on the right path😘😘
My incredible Osteopath and friend, Robyn van Lijsdonk, without you and your phenomenal team of Heta and Henk this wouldn't have been possible ❤️ thank you my friend 😘
My unbelievable Chef 'd Equip, Ingeborg Sanne, thank you so much for all that you do and the biggest thank you for believing in us when others doubted us. I wish I could have given you a better result but we did our best and please God it only gets better from here🙏💜

Jeannette Haazen and Roger Hambuckers for making me the most phenomenal kur, it's just going to have to wait to blow everyone's socks off at WEG 2026😉😉

By now most of you will know that yesterday didn't go to plan. Poor Elfie got unbelievably unsettled by the sound of the crowd while we were warming up and I just couldn't get her to settle. Then going into the competition arena the atmosphere was electric and it all proved a little overwhelming. She still did so well to stay with me and as disappointed as I was in the result I was as proud of her ❤️❤️ it was the biggest crowd we have ever ridden in front of. It was as always an extraordinary experience to be able to represent my country in such an exquisite venue🙏
