I could never do this without the incredible team I have in my life ❤️ my husband, James for all his support and putting up with me in the weeks running up to WEG!
My ever amazing trainer, Chris Haazen who has been through it all with me and I know he is just as excited about the future as I am!
The phenomenal care team I have for Jazzy, Jef Desmedt, Elisha de Vos, Danny van den Rul and of course my fantastic Osteopath, Robyn van Lijsdonk you all made sure Jazzy was in the best form possible!! Poor Robyn had double the work as she had to make sure I was also in top shape! A new member to the team is my personal trainer Bruce Bruce-Sports who has not only helped me so much physically but also really helped with my mental preparations as well and is now an indispensable part of the team! The whole team at SAEF & DSA for all the prep and paperwork and making it possible for us to compete at such an event! Ingeborg Sanne, who has been my Chef 'd Equip for the last 12 years and this year stepped into the role of Chef 'd Mission, thank you for always being there and always having my back and believing in me ❤️ A big thank you to my new Chef 'd Equip, Angie Meredith thanks for running who knows how many kilometers organising arenas and everything else! 😀 my dearest friends Natalie Hime and Stewart Barker for making the effort to come over and support us, thanks guys 🧡💛💚💙 Lizzie Harrison for taking the most stunning photos and HQ for allowing us to use them!!
And last but never least my family, friends and clients (a lot of whom actually made the effort to come watch!)here and in SA for all the love and warm messages you sent they meant the world to me . To anyone I have left out my apologies.

For a horse that only turned 7 in May to score his PB at the World Equestrian Games is an impressive achievement! I was so incredibly proud of him ❤️ 💙 💓 I am so excited to see what our future holds!

Jazzy, is so much like my extraordinary, fabulous Benedict in that he has the unique ability to make everyone fall in love with him 💕 here seen with our amazing photographer/press liason, Lizze Harrison who was not only responsible for the most stunning photos but keeping everyone at home up to date!!

It's not always about work, one of my clients gave Jazzy an octopus for WEG and as you can see he loved it 😀 ❤️

In the afternoon was our familiarisation and as you can see Jazzy was very keen to see his stage!

Tuesday morning we started bright and early with the trot up. This is where it pays off having a team, you can lean on a teammate to run your horse for you!! Charlie Bays very kindly trotted Jazzy up and all I can say is thank goodness he has such long legs!! It was brilliant especially under the watchful eyes of my Chef 'd Equip, Angie Meredith and James ❤️

Again, apologies for the late posts but it only goes to extend the phenomenal feeling of WEG '26!! It was so exciting arriving at the magnificent show grounds of Aachen made even better by seeing all our wonderful South Africans that were already there and waiting ❤️
After a 2 hour wait to get into the show grounds and off load, Jazzy came off the trailer like a dragon, even though James had been standing in the trailer for the last half hour with extra hay and Jazzy's toy frog to try keep him entertained!! I was very that Inge was there to take him to his stable!! After everything was eventually unpack, parked etc we had our first training ride. Even though it was Monday and there was no competition people had still bought Village tickets just to come and walk around, which is amazing within itself! That meant there was still a lot of action going on which put Jazzy on his toes but he still felt great!!

Last night was the opening ceremony for the World Equestrian Games '26 in Aachen!! What an incredible night made even better by the fact that South Africa has a show jumping team, a carriage driver and me as the Para-rider!! All the South Africans will be competing in the 2 weeks which means hopefully if our times work out we will be there to support each other♡♡
