After a year of busy schedules and chaotic days, it is time for us to once again dive deep into spirituality by embracing Ramadan, the month of patience! This sacred month is the mirror that shows us our shortcomings as Muslims, inspires us to strive for excellence, and encourages us to treat the people around us with more empathy and kindness. Furthermore, it is the most blessed time of the year for seeking Allah’s mercy and forgiveness.

এই ফাগুন আমাদের জীবনে বয়ে আনুক অফুরন্ত আনন্দ, সুস্থতা, সাফল্য আর অটুট ঐক্য। প্রত্যেকের হৃদয় ভরে উঠুক রঙিন স্মৃতি, অভিযানের গল্প আর সীমাহীন সম্ভাবনার আলোয়।

Shab-e-Barat is an utmost day of importance in Islamic history observed on the 15th night of Sha’ban, and holds immense spiritual importance in Islam. Traditionally, various events have been narrated to occur during Shab-e-Barat, labeling it as the “Night of Forgiveness” when Allah’s mercy descends upon His servants. It is believed that on this night, destinies for the coming year are written, taking into account the deeds of the past year. Muslims across the world spend the night in prayer, Qur’an recitation and repentance, seeking blessings for themselves and their families. This sacred occasion also serves as a spiritual preparation for the holy month of Ramadan, reminding believers to purify their souls and renew their faith.

It was during the night of Makkah, with all the silence of the world, when the world was covered with shadows, that the extraordinary had started. It was not a journey; it was an invitation of the Creator to his beloved one.

It was of the sacred soil of Makkah and the time-honored walls of Jerusalem and then above the stars and the clouds and time. The Prophet ﷺ ascended the Seven Heavens and was greeted by the prophets of earlier eras. He later reached Sidrat al-Muntaha (The Lote Tree of the Farthest Boundary), and even Angel Jibreel could not pass.

There was a conversation with Allah(SWT) that has changed our lives forever. He came not only with narratives about the invisible, but brought us all a present, the Salah. In Salah we find ourselves and peace. It connects us with Allah (SWT). On this night of miracles, remember that no distance is too far and no prayer is too small for the Almighty. BLGHS 20 batch wish you a happy night of faith, love, and happiness. May Allah, the great, bless you and your family.
