I grew up watching Leo Messi 🤍
As a kid, I watched him play with a kind of magic that made football feel different. I watched the goals, the dribbles, the impossible passes, the celebrations, the heartbreaks, and eventually, the greatest triumphs.
For years, I watched him carry the weight of a nation on his shoulders. I watched him lose finals, face criticism, come back, and keep fighting. And then I watched him finally lift the World Cup, the trophy that had eluded him for so long.
Today, Messi has said goodbye to international football. And honestly, it hurts. 💔
Because this is not just the retirement of a footballer I admired. It feels like the closing of a chapter of my own childhood. The boy I grew up watching is now leaving the stage where I first fell in love with football.
To me, Messi was never just about trophies, goals, or records. He was about magic. He was about making the impossible look effortless. He taught millions of us that greatness doesn't always have to be loud, it can be quiet, humble, and beautiful.
The little boy from Rosario became a World Champion, a legend, and for many of us, the greatest footballer to ever play the game.
Thank you for every magical touch, every unforgettable night, and every emotion.
No matter what the future holds, one thing will never change: Football was blessed to have Lionel Messi. I was blessed to witness him.
Football will continue. Legends will come and go.
But there will only ever be one Messi.
Gracias, Capitán. 💙
Forever my GOAT. 🐐🇦🇷
